The Marketing Association has announced the return of its Brainy Breakfast event series in association with new sponsor – Ubiquity.
The first event in the 2013 series will take place on Friday 8th March in Auckland, when the topic “Facebook Re-booted” will be on the menu.
Claire O’Connell from Facebook will share the latest tips, trends and tools, and will be joined by speakers from some of New Zealand‟s most effective Facebook brand marketers at Coca Cola and the charity Paw Justice.
Marketing Association CEO Sue McCarty said the series, which serves up a regular fix of insight and inspiration for digital marketers, will be better than ever in 2013.
“We‟re interested in content that is challenging, just out of reach, that will make our audience think. We‟d like them to say „I think we can make use of that and be ahead of the crowd‟,” said McCarty.
“We‟re thrilled to be teaming up with Ubiquity, a leading New Zealand provider of digital marketing technology. This sponsorship demonstrates Ubiquity‟s commitment to promoting robust industry discussion on emerging digital tools and techniques – a great fit with the Marketing Association‟s commitment to up-skilling our industry with relevant and valuable information enabling economic growth in New Zealand.”
Ubiquity offers solutions for multi-channel marketing including email, mobile, social and web using their Engage platform. Ubiquity Managing Director Nathalie Morris said the sponsorship was a natural partnership for Ubiquity, which has a strong focus on fostering good practice through client and industry education.
“Ubiquity has seen significant growth in the last couple of years, helping marketers face the rise of data-driven marketing and cope with the proliferation of digital channels. Similarly, the Brainy Breakfast series has also grown as marketers recognise that it‟s never been more important to stay up to date with the latest innovations in this area,” said Morris.
“We‟re looking forward to working with the Marketing Association to ensure Brainy Breakfasts continue to inspire New Zealand marketers.”

The first Brainy Breakfast event sponsored by Ubiquity will take place on Friday 8th of March at the Pullman Hotel in Auckland.
Topic: "Facebook Re-booted – What you need to know about Facebook now"
Speakers:
* Facebook – Claire O‟Connell (Head of Sales New Zealand)
* Coca-Cola – Brid Drohan Stewart (Marketing Manager, Sparkling Beverages)
* Paw Justice Charitable Trust – Craig Dunn (Co-founder)
When: Friday 8 March, 7.00am – 9.00am
Where: The Pullman Hotel, Auckland
Non-members of the Marketing Association are welcome at these events. More information is available at www.marketing.org.nz/events or by calling 0800 347 328.
