Entrepreneurial New Zealand Jewellery Designer Kat Gee, the woman behind successful Australasian jewellery brand Kagi is giving two women the chance of a lifetime. The brand has launched its ‘Three Wishes’ collection this month in time for the busy Christmas and New Year period, and to celebrate Gee is offering to make the wishes of two women come true. One lucky woman from each side of the Tasman will each win a $5000 cash kick-start towards their own business idea, three months of personal business coaching with Kat Gee and $2500 each of their favourite Kagi pieces.
Having quit her day job and starting Kagi Jewellery from her kitchen table 8 years ago, Gee has steered Kagi to become one of the fastest growing jewellery brands in Australasia. Now stocked in over 300 retailers across New Zealand and Australia, Kagi (www.kagi.net) has taken out numerous accolades in the past few years – including being a Deloittes Fast 50 finalist the last three years running, a Finalist in NZ Entrepreneur of the year 2012 and NZ Exporter of the Year 2012 and 2013.
“I am so thrilled to be able to offer the chance to help two aspiring entrepreneurial women chase their dreams, and make their dreams come true the way mine have” explains Gee. “Throughout my journey with Kagi I’ve had many amazing people mentor me, and be really generous with their time and knowledge, and I want to give back, and give that opportunity to other women, sharing with them what I’ve learnt. It’s hard doing it by yourself, and you really need a support network of great people around you, so I’d love to be able to be that person now”. Kat Gee
To enter, hopefuls must answer in 150 words or less “What great business idea would you like to kick-start with this prize?” The competition runs from 1 November until December 11 and entries can be received on the mindfood.com website.
