  • What motivates investors in high growth companies, what are they looking for?
  • If investors tend to invest in management, what attracts them?
  • How companies choose between investors to derive best mutual value.
  • What trends are evident in NZ and overseas in investments in high growth companies?

SPEAKERS

Ross Finlay
First Angel Network – Canada
Ross is Co-Founder and Director of the First Angel Network Association. He has been an angel investor since 2000 and is a board member of the National Angel Capital Organization (NACO), director of the Angel Capital Association (ACA), and a trustee of the Angel Resource Institute. Read more

Dana McKenzie
Ice Angels – New Zealand
Dana is an unconventional angel investor. She started investing while in Switzerland, inspired by a legend in the angel investing arena, Brigitte Baumann, in the early days of setting up her Go Beyond organization in 2008. Dana was part of Go Beyond’s first investing group in France.

Debra Hall
Independent Director, Mentor & Advisor – New Zealand
Debra is an independent director, mentor and advisor, with a number of public and private governance and advisory board roles. She is on the Angel Association New Zealand (AANZ) Executive Committee and is a past board member of Ice Angels and is an active NZ angel investor.

Rudi Bublitz
Flying Kiwi Angels – New Zealand
Rudi is a Co-Founder of Flying Kiwi Angels. He joined ICE Angels in 2010 and won a most active angel award. Rudi co-founded a UK based SAP consulting business, growing it from two to over 400 staff within nine years before exiting in a trade sale in 1999. He is an early pan-European business graduate of the 1980s and serves as a Director of Down to Earth Systems Ltd. and Flying Kiwi Angels, which he was instrumental in setting up.

Mark Lowndes
Managing Partner – Lowndes – New Zealand
Is a highly experienced corporate and commercial lawyer. He advises New Zealand and international companies on a range of matters such as mergers and acquisitions, securitisations, capital raising, private equity, venture capital, angel funding, technology, telecommunications, corporate recovery and international investment.
