Safeguard’s annual wellbeing conference is back for 2020!  Attend in-person or via livestream.

If ever there has been a year to focus on the physical, emotional and psychological needs of your workers it is 2020.

For workers to flourish and reach their full potential with the least exposure to harm, we need to create work and workplaces that address these needs. This is even more pertinent in times of change and uncertainty.

By treating risks to worker health and wellbeing in the same way as other business risks, buy-in becomes easier and initiatives become more comprehensive and ultimately more successful.

In its 6th year, the HealthyWork conference brings together health, safety, wellbeing and management professionals from across NZ for a day where we turn the theory of wellbeing into practice.

Programme highlights:

  • Systems over symptoms – David Burroughs, Chief Mental Health Officer, Westpac (Australia)
  • Leading in times of change and uncertainty – Bridget Jelley, Registered Psychologist, The Effect
  • APHIRM: An approach to improve prevention of musculoskeletal disorders – Associate Professor Jodi Oakman, Head of the Centre for Ergonomics and Human Factors, La Trobe University (Australia)
  • Supporting mentally and physically healthy work – Api Poutasi, Manager Health, WorkSafe New Zealand
  • Reflections on wellbeing – Colonel Clare Bennett, Director Integrated Wellness, New Zealand Defence Force
  • Quickfire case studies to showcase the three finalists of the wellbeing category at the 2020 New Zealand Workplace Health & Safety Awards – HEB Construction, Tauranga City Council, Treescape
  • Panel discussion: Keeping wellbeing on the agenda (and in the budget!)

With two international virtual speakers and a host of local experts, HealthyWork 2020 will inspire and support you in the fight to keep wellbeing on the agenda, knowing it’s good for business.
