Christmas came early for Lisa Martin, Managing Director of specialist bookkeeping firm, GoFi8ure, who has acquired Hutt Valley firm, Active Admin.
The takeover of Active Admin’s Upper Hutt premises means a third branch for GoFi8ure which, with its HQ in Wellington and an office in Auckland, is fast-growing its national presence. GoFi8ure will retain Active Admin’s staff, including directors Tania Hayes and Liann Leyland, doubling personnel.
“Active Admin has been providing back office and overflow support for GoFi8ure for some time,” explains Martin. “So, bringing the company into the GoFi8ure Group is a natural step.
“From a client perspective, our combined forces mean we can strengthen our service offerings to provide NZ businesses with the absolute best bookkeeping and accounting service there is.
“And, from a business angle it makes perfect sense. GoFi8ure gets to grow its brand without having to open an office from scratch. This means we hit the ground running with a terrific and highly experienced team who already know how we work.”
News of the acquisition comes just days after Ms Martin was appointed as a Director of another company – financial rescue-remedy firm, Number Nurses.
Martin is an award-winning business woman with unrivalled drive and ambition. Her goal is to continue growing GoFi8ure as a national brand to help small businesses with essential accounting and bookkeeping so they can concentrate on the aspects of their business they love.
Commenting on Martin and the acquisition, Rod Drury, international businessman and CEO of Xero, says "Lisa Martin is a financial superwoman. She is one of life's inspirations. Her boundless energy and passion for robust record-keeping means she is wholly committed to helping Kiwi businesses understand that modern day bookkeeping is an essential component of business success – rather than a business by-product.
"This acquisition is testament to Lisa's business drive and determination. I predict that GoFi8ure will go from strength to strength in the B2B world."
