The BusinessNZ Energy Council is co-hosting this conference with the World Energy Council and APEC in Wellington. It will provide a unique platform to challenge ideas, look to future-proof energy systems of the Asia Pacific region, explore how it can build resilience and prepare for the new normal. The summit will seek to develop a shared understanding of the growing resiliency risks and challenges presented by climate change, emerging technologies, extreme weather events, cyber security, and the energy‑water-food nexus.  Energy leaders from around the region will discuss how to manage and/or mitigate these risks and challenges through innovative policy, financing and risk sharing approaches as they look to deploy renewable energy systems.

For more information and a full description of the conference go to www.bec.org.nz/summit.
