When it comes to harassment, bullying and discrimination, your employment relations and health & safety obligations are under a higher intensity microscope than ever before.

It’s about more than whether you’re investigating the claims, but how managers are investigating these claims.  Have you considered who’s leading the investigation, who the decision maker is and who is leading the communication? With stress and mental health concerns emerging as a priority for WorkSafe, when and how you intervene and investigate is crucial.

After this half-day toolkit session you will be able to; navigate complex workplace relationships and scenarios; translate legal requirements into ready-to-use policies; and construct an investigation process that will protect your people and your business.

Become confident with the tough conversations as we discuss:

  • Making sure your workplace isn’t enabling the negative behaviours
  • Mitigating gender, sexual orientation and race-related discrimination and the impact of unconscious bias
  • What to do when, at first glance, both parties are making a valid point
  • The grey area that results in a discrimination accusation – drawing the line, protecting your people and yourself in the eyes of the law
  • Managing the ins and outs of privacy and confidentiality.

Failing to have a bulletproof, private and confidential process could cost your organisation – so this leaves you with no choice, but to do it right the first time.
