Forget table tennis, free beer and pizza on Fridays – what about balancing workload to mitigate burnout, managing expectations when it comes to overtime hours, and policies that reduce the risk of bullying and harassment occurring?

Join us for lunch as Peter Simunovich, Occupational Health and Safety Instructor, dives into how to create wellness strategy objectives that actually drive productivity, retention and engagement. From assessing your business culture to shifting expectations of staff output, Peter will discuss how to set practical objectives that enables all of your workers to bring their best selves to work every day.

We have Bridget Smaill, Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing for BNZ. Bridget will walk you through the steps they took when rolling out their biggest training programme yet – 200 leadership staff put through a mental health awareness course, ultimately leading to Bridget taking out the NZISM health and safety practitioner of the year at the 2019 New Zealand Workplace Health and Safety Awards.
Our experts will also discuss:

  • What’s in and out when it comes to wellness and wellbeing programmes – a snapshot of global trends and what NZ businesses are focusing on and prioritizing right now
  • What does good business culture look like, and what are you actually expecting from your staff?
  • Reducing negative threats and mitigating crisis – bullying, harassment, stress and fatigue and what your policies mean in context

When it comes to workplace wellbeing plans, we need to look beyond the contra perks and cash rewards, and go deeper into the ‘why’ your people actually turn up every morning, and how we can keep them coming back!
