Personal Grievances from your contractors are real in 2020 under new triangular relationships legislation.

New law in 2020 will change your risk profile when working with specialist contractors or labour hire agencies.  It moves beyond Health & Safety pre-qualification into core HR/ER practices.  Learn what the triangular relationships law will mean for you and all the people you work with.

With this in mind, it is so important to build an inclusive workplace.  Whether it’s a person’s culture, skill set or learning style, you’ve got to find the right way of getting more out of your people.  Haylee Putaranui, Talent Manager from Fonterra, will share her experience on the realities of diversity in a large-scale, traditional business with evolving values, culture and engagement.  

Our one-day Good Faith in Action Conference will dig deep into every curly relationship, tough conversation and confusing interpretation – with real-world examples – to equip you to deal with the trickiest situations.

  • Probationary periods vs 90-day trial periods: Your rights and the
    restrictions – the new rules and which to use;
  • Early intervention with unacceptable, patterned behaviour – how to have the hard conversations and reset expectations;
  • Impairment of performance: Dealing with suspicious behaviour – what does being fit-for-work look like?
  • Banter vs. bullying – where is the line? Unpacking intention, unconscious bias and potential red flags in your workplace culture;
  • Return-To-Work Plans (RTW) – balancing out ongoing physical and mental safety by putting the employer in charge of RTW, and;
  • Triangular relationships are coming: What to do when Personal Grievances (PGs) from your contractors become your reality in June 2020.

Additionally, we’ll examine your obligations to provide a workplace free of bullying or harassment and the considerations to objectively assess any allegation and investigate.
