Cyber Smart Week this week (27 November to 1 December) is a great opportunity to start thinking about some simple steps you can take to help protect your business from online threats.

CERT NZ says that “cybersecurity attacks are becoming more and more common over time, so it’s important to know what you can do to protect your information online. While there’s no bulletproof way to prevent an attack, there are a lot of things you can do that will help to lessen the risk.”

According to KPMG and WEF, cybersecurity is one of the top concerns for business leaders, but it’s not just big companies that need to think about this.
As CERT NZ Advisory Board Chair Michael Wallmannsberger says, “obscurity is not the same as security”.

For Wallmannsberger’s advice on cybersecurity, including:
* The biggest myths surrounding cybersecurity.
* The most common mistakes CEOs and boards make when they approach cybersecurity.
* The first step people can take to better protect their business.
