Helen McLaren and Clare Gallaher’s start-up business aims to eliminate the token “eco-friendly” gift box and introduce a new authentic and unique gift experience.

“Sustainable and ethical sourcing is a hot topic and priority for all businesses in New Zealand, but what does your corporate gifting strategy say about your business?” asks Helen McLaren, co-founder of With Impact.

“The gift box industry satisfies a major share of the corporate gifting market and is exponentially growing each year – but the gift box industry lacks innovation and a commitment to sustainable values,” she says.

“It’s time to step away from the token “eco-friendly” gift box and welcome in the revolutionary new era of corporate gifting. Together, we can do gifting better.”

With Impact is a Kiwi-run value-driven gifting platform launching in November 2022, founded by Helen and Clare – identical twins, mums, and entrepreneurs who are on a mission to create the future of shopping, where an ethical and sustainable lifestyle is the norm.

Originally from Wellington, Helen is an adventure therapist by trade and based in New Plymouth. Clare is a chartered accountant and based in Feilding.

In addition to With Impact, they started the Prized Life Marketplace in March this year with the aim of making sustainable and ethical shopping modern, accessible and easy. Prized Life services Australia and New Zealand and currently has over 100 local value driven brand partners selling more than 3,000 products.

Beyond the box

With Impact presents a premium gifting solution that extends far beyond what’s in the box. Helen and Clare describe it as “the customisable, value driven gifting solution for leaders in sustainable business”. Unique, high quality, memorable gifts that prioritise ethical, sustainable, and New Zealand made products – all mindfully packaged for an incredible, eco-friendly unboxing experience.

Why is corporate gifting important?

“Gifting is the loyalty program of the 21st century, providing a perfect platform for meaningful connection with employees, clients and your community. Giving a gift shows you care, sparks engagement, and nurtures relationships,” explains Helen.

“We are revolutionising traditional gift giving. If you’re a business that cares about our community and environment, With Impact makes it easy for you to have a sustainable and ethical corporate gifting strategy,” says Clare.

“With Impact provides an authentic and unique gift experience that minimises waste, builds connection, inspires conversation and increases conversion,” adds Helen.

“With Impact is the customisable, value driven gifting solution for leaders in sustainable business.”

In every gift bundle, Helen and Clare highlight and celebrate every brand’s story of difference.

“Every element of our eco-friendly gift box packaging is fully recyclable, compostable or purposefully designed to be reused,” they say.

“We take the guesswork out of gifting with our modern approach. We discover what your recipients like or dislike, capturing your brief and their preferences to build an engaging gift experience.”

A ‘No Bad Gift’ policy means recipients can exchange gifts for one that better suits their needs.

Helen and Clare say they are also re-defining the gift experience by building a framework to gather recipient feedback. They access strategic information to understand and leverage the customer, team and client’s experiences.

“To really make each gift count towards your business goals.”
