The country’s largest Industry Training Organisations will be featured in the 2014 Careers Expos. Alongside a growing number of exhibitors, the ITOs will present career opportunities to some 35,000 students and young adults seeking advice and information on careers and adult life at the annual events.
A new exhibition space has been developed with the popular Careers Expo to create an engaging platform to communicate the diversity of job opportunities available and the importance of trades in the New Zealand economy.
A group of five ITOs have committed to exhibiting together, showcasing their industries within a newly developed trade hub. ITOs exhibiting at the Expos include Competenz, The Skills Organisation, Building and Construction ITO, Hairdressing ITO, Infrastructure ITO and the Primary ITO.
The Careers Expos are open to the public with a wide range of exhibitors including employers, universities, tertiary institutes, training providers and government agencies and the ITOs. The expos take place in Auckland, May 8-10, at the ASB Showgrounds, Greenlane; Wellington, May 16-17, TSB Arena, Queens Wharf; Christchurch, May 22-24
CBS Arena, Addington; and Hamilton, June 8-9, at the Claudelands Events Centre, Brooklyn.
