Recruiter gets creative on fees

Talent Recruitment has launched a new recruitment fee structure to the creative industry, and says it makes it the only New Zealand recruitment agency offering flat and capped fees.

Talent Recruitment recently launched a new recruitment fee structure to the creative industry, and director Angela Beatson says it makes it the only New Zealand recruitment agency offering flat and capped fees.

Beatson was driven by a desire to find a new way to tackle the “somewhat antiquated fee structure of the recruitment industry”. “I know the industry was ready for a change and I never liked following the crowd anyway.”

As part of the shake up, Talent will offer a flat placement fee rather than companies needing to pay a percentage of each employee’s salary. Talent will also offer capped hourly fees on freelancers and temps, and a one-off talent fee to facilitate the introduction of top end talent, allowing clients to build relationships for the future.

“I wanted to offer clients something really different, a transparent and flexible service,” says Beatson. “Partnering with my clients and fostering the candidates aligns with my values.”

Talent is also offering in-house recruitment services charged at an hourly rate.
