Boat subscription service, Skipperi NZ, is now fully New Zealand-owned following its acquisition by local investment firm Windscreamer Investments.
The move comes as Skipperiโs parent company in Finland undergoes an acquisition, prompting the sale of the New Zealand subsidiary to local investors.
The new ownership, which includes the local management team and investors, ensures that members continued access to the companyโs fleet across its three key locations, Gulf Harbour, Westhaven, and Half Moon Bay.
“The team has been the longstanding operator of Skipperi NZ, and this means there is a seamless transition for all those involved. Contracts, memberships, and access in New Zealand remain unchanged. The day-to-day operations, and the high level of service and support people have come to expect will continue as usual. Haagh says that Windscreamer Investments and its partnership with Marine Concierge and the Skipperi NZ management team will continue to enhance the services, locations and experiences offered.
Skipperi NZโs subscription model offers unlimited boating without maintenance, mooring, or equipment ownership. Members gain access to a fleet of Haines Hunter boats, as well as a training package.
