From environmentalists to app developers, sportsman to farmers, artists to entrepreneurs, Kiwis from all walks of life have been known to achieve great things armed with just a dream and can-do attitude in hand. This year, AMP are searching for talented New Zealanders of all ages who have the courage to pursue their dreams with the help of AMP Scholarships.

Whether the dream is a new business, community-focused, educational, or even to represent New Zealand at the Olympics – this year up to $200,000 is available to help talented and determined Kiwis pursue their dreams.

AMP Chief Customer Officer Jeff Ruscoe, said “We began AMP Scholarships motivated by a desire to help greatness come to those who pursue it, and over the past 18 years AMP Scholarships has provided over $2 million to help more than 180 recipients achieve their dreams.
“AMP Scholarships is unique – it’s the only programme of its kind in New Zealand and we’re very proud of the support we provide to help ordinary Kiwis achieve extraordinary things – we’ve helped senior citizens to rediscover their passions; supported researchers finding ways to improve people’s quality of life; given athletes the ability to test their limits on the international stage; and helped performing artists share their gift with the world.

“Everyone has a dream and no matter what it is, AMP Scholarships can help – we encourage Kiwis to have the courage to take the next step in their journey to realise their dream by applying for an AMP Scholarship today,” said Ruscoe.

This year, AMP Scholarship judges will include: Dame Rosanne Meo; cofounder of 42 Below, Justine Troy; founding trustee of PINC & STEEL, Lou James and columnist & entrepreneur, Mike Hutcheson.
Applications are open until 25 August 2016. For more information, and to apply online, visit ampscholarships.co.nz
