Home auctioned for Make-A-Wish

The Rodney franchise holder for G.J. Gardner Homes is proud to officially open the doors to its new Rodney-based property, built to raise money for Make-A-Wish.

The Rodney franchise holder for G.J. Gardner Homes is proud to officially open the doors to its new Rodney-based property that has been specially built to raise money for the charity, Make-A-Wish.
Due to be auctioned to the public this November, the house was opened with an official ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, 28 August. Open homes commenced Sunday after the official opening.
All proceeds raised above the reserve will be donated to Make-A-Wish, a charity that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.
Elaine Morley, owner of the G.J. Gardner Rodney franchise, says: “This house really is quite special – not only will it raise important funds for an amazing charity, at the same time it will provide a family with a beautiful home to live in.”
“Make-A-Wish brings joy into the lives of children that are otherwise having a hard time, and it’s great to be able to give something back to help sick kids around the country.”
“This property has been a real labour of love between Fairway Bay developer, Top Harbour Limited, Barfoot& Thompson Whangaparaoa and GJ Gardner Homes Rodney Franchise and we as a business, won’t be making a profit from the sale.” 
“The property features open plan living, three double bedrooms and lots of light throughout.”
“The district of Rodney is an amazing place to live – with great schools and beaches for the children to enjoy. Commuters that work in the city can also avoid sitting in traffic jams on the motorway by making the most of the extra ferry services available to the CBD.”
“We are looking forward to the auction day on Saturday, 8 November, as we’d love to raise as much money as possible for Make-A-Wish.”
