2014 marks the third year The Coffee Club Bethlehem has taken top honours at the Westpac Franchise Awards. The Tauranga cafe has been named 2014/15 Supreme Franchisee of the Year for the third year in a row, as well as Food and Beverage Franchisee of the Year.
“We are thrilled to be the recipients of this award yet again,” says Ivy Joe, franchise holder of The Coffee Club Bethlehem. “The team works hard to give customers the best service possible and uphold the high standards set by The Coffee Club New Zealand. Receiving this award is so satisfying for both myself and my team.”
The Coffee Club Bethlehem is no stranger to the winner’s circle, adding the latest award to a long list of other accolades, which include 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 Westpac Food and Beverage Franchisee of the Year, 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 Supreme Franchisee of the Year and winner of the 2013 Westpac Tauranga Small Business Awards.
“We really couldn’t ask for a better franchisee than Ivy,” says Andy Lucas, Director and Marketing Manager of The Coffee Club New Zealand. “She represents everything our brand is about – good food, great service and excellent coffee.  We are very proud of Ivy and her team for running such a successful, widely recognised cafe. This award is very well deserved.”
The highly contested Westpac Franchise System of the Year award went to Specsavers New Zealand Limited in what was their first ever entry to the Awards. In the judges’ opinion, this was a challenging decision because the finalists were so closely matched. However, the systems that Specsavers have developed, their customer focus and their successful business partnerships gave them the edge to take out this award. This was underpinned by their excellent results, moving what is a high cost product into a volume business through their strong customer focus.
