New Zealand’s fastest growing businesses are today celebrating as Deloitte Fast 50 regional category winners were announced at various events across the country last night.
A wave of celebration has swept across New Zealand as innovative entrepreneurs and businesses were recognised as regional category winners in the Deloitte Fast 50 awards. Events held nationwide highlighted the achievements of these fast-growing businesses, marking the first step in the awards process leading up to the national celebration on November 20 in Auckland.
In the Auckland and Upper North Island, Daley Property Services has been recognised as the fastest growing construction business, specialising in commercial construction and building maintenance. Anihana, recognised in both retail and export categories for its body and hair care products, exemplifies innovation in consumer goods. The technology sector is represented by smart cow-collar creator Halter.
In the Wellington and Lower North Island, SBA Civil is recognised for its civil construction projects, and Proquip Solutions awarded for it manufacturing with process and packaging equipment. Hnry won in the technology category with its online accounting and invoicing services, while Abel Fragrance came out on top in the export category with its ethical perfumery.
Deloitte Private Partner James Arlidge praised the diversity of this year’s winners, emphasising New Zealand’s status as a hub of innovation despite economic challenges.
“From bespoke travel experiences and tech solutions to steel fabrication and sustainable hair and body products, our regional winners are setting the pace for fast-growing businesses around the country and overseas,” Arlidge says.
The theme for the 2024 Fast 50, ‘Get set, grow: the future favours the fast’, draws parallels between Kiwi innovators and high-performance athletes.
“Our Fast 50 winners are consistently pushing the limits and raising the bar, whether they’re driving customer experiences, introducing new products to the market, or harnessing innovative technologies,” Arlidge says.
The winners now look forward to the national Deloitte Fast 50 celebrations in November, where they will have the opportunity to hear from inspirational speakers, network with past and present winners, and engage with industry experts.
