The winners of Australia’s Good Design Awards, the highest honour for design innovation in Australia, were announced at the Sydney Opera House this week at the 60th Annual Good Design Awards Ceremony.

Alphero and 2degrees Mobile received a prestigious Good Design Award® Winner in the Digital Design category in recognition for outstanding design and innovation.

“We know how important the app is to our customers who manage their lives on the go. They can track their use and top up, add roaming packs or pay their bill when it suits them. We’re chuffed the design elements of it have been given this accolade,” said Greg Moore, chief digital officer at 2degrees.

“Everyone likes winning an award” says Caroline Dewe, director of digital strategy and design firm Alphero. “This work is really indicative of the digital change that’s going on in the broader market”

The annual Good Design Awards is Australia’s most prestigious awards for design and innovation with a proud history dating back to 1958. The Awards celebrate the best new products and services on the market, excellence in architectural design, digital and communication design and reward emerging areas of design including business model innovation, social impact and design entrepreneurship.

The Good Design Awards Jury commented: “Clean, clear, friendly and on-brand design. This is a well-executed project and sterling example of good design in practice. Well done.”

Alphero was also acknowledged for their work with collected awards for MetService and Westpac.
