Ellerslie Event Centre, Auckland. Global Value Chains and Trade in Value Added (TIVA) had a direct influence on the successful conclusion of recent trade talks in Bali and are central to our thinking around TPP. Dr Raed Safadi, Deputy Director General of the Trade and Agriculture Directorate of the OECD, is an expert on both these pieces of thinking.  His presentation will help exporters and businesses more generally understand these thoughts and what it might mean for NZ and for the companies themselves. Join Dr Raed Safadi for an interactive session about priorities for business where he will outline, listen to your concerns and discuss:

• Current focus of the G20 and B20

• Emerging trade issues (export restrictions, rising Regional Trade Agreement trend, SOEs)

• Vital importance of thinking in terms of global value and supply chains in export strategies

• Idea of working better with others across borders

• Why trade agreements can no longer simply be about border access and tariffs but increasingly need to turn to internal issues like occupational regulation, investment and the like. (TPP).

Attend this breakfast and walk away with a leading edge view of global thinking, something we struggle to get in NZ. To register email [email protected]
